| Titel | Visual performance of a non-diffractive extended depth of focus intraocular lens in patient with prior Radial Keratotomy versus fellow eye with a monofocal intraocular lens. |
| Doel | To compare visual performance of a non-diffractive extended depth of focus (EDoF) intraocular lens (IOL) and a monofocal IOL in a patient with prior radial keratotomy (RK) |
| Methodes | A 53 year old patient with history of bilateral radial keratotomy underwent bilateral refractive lens exchange. An EDoF IOL (Acrisof IQ Vivity) was implanted in non dominant eye and a monofocal IOL was implanted in dominant eye. |
| Resultaten | Visual performance of both eyes was assessed 3 months after surgery. Uncorrected and Distance corrected visual acuity at 66 and 40 cm were better with EDoF IOL. Best corrected distance visual reached 0 LogMAR bilaterally. Defocus curve confirmed better near performance with EDoF IOL. Contrast sensitivity was lower with EDof lens. |
| Conclusie | In patient with prior RK, non diffractive EDoF IOL provides a satisfactory intermediate vision and a functional near vision with a decrease contrast sensitivity compared to a monofocal IOL. |
