Title | Orthoptic guidelines in refractive and cataract surgery |
Abstract Nr. | 3029 |
Purpose | Patients undergoing refractive or cataract surgery may experience binocular vision problems following surgery. These problems may vary from blurred vision to diplopia according to the person’s capacity to compensate for the changes in binocular vision induced by surgery. I will discuss: - Type of binocular vision problems following refractive or cataract surgery - How to screen patients to detect patients at risk - How to assess patients with known strabismus who seek for refractive or cataract surgery - How to simulate the outcome of refractive surgery |
